Economic
development can be described as a process that influences growth and restructuring
of an economy to enhance the economic well being of a community. Sigourney
Area Development Corporation (SADC) is a non-profit organization that
has worked at creating new opportunities for business and industry, which
in turn helps to keep the wonderful quality of life Sigourney has to offer.
With the purchase of forty acres, SADC provides a greenfield industrial
park where local contractors will help in building-to-suit any type of
structure.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Sigourney Area
Development Corporation (SADC) is an action-oriented, economic development
corporation organized for the purposed of promoting employment and economic
growth, and ultimately maintaining and improving the quality of life in
the Sigourney and Keokuk County area. SADC serves a lead role in
industrial, community development, and tourism activities.
